Pvp is the least favorite thing in Xenimus as the pvp server has proved!
PvP ONCE a month is all that's needed.
Double exp however, IS, since everyone like to level/grind.
And double drops.....that would bring too much gear into the game... not needed. Maybe a 20% monster drop rate.
How has this been proven exactly?
The pvp server was not exactly a legitimate test to try something out, it was doomed to fail from the start.
Restricting levels was plain stupid if you ask me.
We can use the current pve servers as a legitimate source as proof of what's "likeable" and what's not.
In 20 year's since the game launched, it has never seen a dip as massive as this.
And, It's been this way eversense the reconstruction or whatever it's called where EJ changed the game from being fast paced to killing 1 monster at a time/Raid type of game (Which he gave up on)
ANDYs server was a pvp server. And it had more players than EJ ever could of imagined. That's more than enough proof to see that players enjoy pvping more than they enjoy PVE. And we're talking about the MAJORITY of our players. There is always an exception.
Reason it's useless to discuss this with EJ is because for some reason, EJ cant accept making wrong decissions and points towards the players and say " This is what you wanted " when in reality, we ask for somthing, then he use what we ask and twists it into his own ways. Which is OK because it's his game.
BUT This is what the CURRENT players want, the ones that dont play and the ones that do play. if we lay off what we want and focus on what people unfamiliar with this game would want. I would say, a perfectly balanced game would be
Similar to how it is now. But a few changes.
Level 1 - 50 No PVP unless chosen to
50-70 Older ways. Free for all, open world pvp but if you kill someone 2 levels lower than you INSTANT hated.
Squish down gear so it's more balanced ()Not sure why this hasnt been done yet it's crazy)
Make a friendly paced game, where everything is explained and there is a storyline throughout the game.
