I mean... i’m tech savvy... kinda ;)

Okay, so i’ve never personally worked on a CPU or upgraded one in anyway, but now I am in the need of a nice “BATTLESTATION”... I’ve posted on reddit, and done my fair share of reading a bunch of other posts but can’t find the specific information i need. I am looking to join a competitive Battle Royale team on PC & eventually become a content creator for YouTube / Twitch etc.. Also I want to build a battlestation so i’m trying to kill a few birds with a few stones.

Making this post on this forum because I’ve always sought out to Xenimites for advice for some reason and a lot of you on this forum seem to be pretty expierenced in this field. So hopefully you guys will point me in the right direction for what equipment I should aim for. (Hopefully later I can tag pictures with my process start to finish)

Things of interest I want or would like to have in my setup
- Dual PC (I want to build my own 2 preferably)
- Be able to stream and play at 60-120+ FPS 144GHZ
- High quality monitors (speakers)
- 3 Monitors
- HDMI switch

Open to any suggestions! (I’m not filthy rich so I can’t drop $10,000 so i’d like to stay under $3500-4000 for full setup)

if you want flawless streaming + good gaming

id suggest building a pc specific for encoding
and then have a gaming rig

send the gameplay from Gaming pc To Stream PC that encodes it and sends it live
this all depends on how good quality you want the stream to be etc

Elgato removes the stress from your PC but in general you end up with worse quality
than if you had a dedicated streaming rig

Gaming rig CPU id suggest is 7700k or 8700k
GPU 1080 ti or the new card thats released soon

encoding rig
you want more cores
for multitasking performance of encoding/streaming

so something like Ryzen 6-8core woudnt be bad
or a Intel 6-8core altho their abit more expensive
as for GPU doesnt have to be monsterous

il be putting up a stream in abit on my pc of shadow of the tomb raider in about 2 hours

im running a 1080ti, ryzen 1800x 32gig ram

incase you wanna see what quality you can expect using just 1 rig to do it all
