The permissions upgrade will allow you to see and post in the Game Update Discussion forum. I did it this way to keep things civilized or some people will make free accounts to post negative things.

When upgrading I look for people who are reasonably active on the message board. You don't need to have 100s of posts but less than 20 is not enough either.

People do not need to be posting negative things about other peoples request for green status. I'm not sure why you feel the need to antagonize those who have posted here but it will get you deleted from this point forward.
