I can't use most board features.

- Don't use the forum because I can't even use BBCode or DM, so why would I use it? Avoided registering for years but now I want to get back into Xenimus.
- Can't DM so I can't DM for discord access
- Because I don't use the board enough I can't get a permissions upgrade
- So I can't get permissions upgraded
- So I can't DM for discord access

Dude read the thread above yours by fear, it tells you what you need to know.

Complaining on here when u got 5 posts won't help your cause.

I did not see that post because it was by a deleted user, not Xen101. My bad.

I guess I will likely not get permissions upgraded. I will not be participating much without the ability to use BBCode.

The entire first page of requests here are people who did not receive it, so it seems out of reach anyway. Looking through that list of first page requests are usernames I know correspond to people who have played Xenimus for 20 years too, so it's really a shame.

I didn't realize this is is such a sore topic here.

I get ya man it took me a while too.

But it's not as easy as asking. You need to be involved in the board with qualityish posts.

It's not the hardest but there is work to be put in.
Is it worth it? That's up to you to figure out.

The last upgrade was given 4/4/2021 to someone whose first post was "upgrade please". They have 3 total visible posts today.

That means there's been no upgrades to any forum member for almost 2 years now.

The ultimate meaning is that EJ does not like, or trust, his community at all any more. That anyone new, your opinion doesn't matter, you cannot and will not post in game update discussions, and you will only get to use half the features of the board.

I don't think EJ or the admins appreciate how little functionality is available to blue members.

We cannot format the text of our posts.

We cannot use bold or underline.

We cannot post images.

We cannot use signatures.

We cannot quote other people or use the "Quote" button without it displaying broken BB code.

No other PHPBB forum in the history of PHPBB has witheld this much functionality for members for years before granting it to the "elite select few".
