The game needs more active admins or new admins. There's so much picking and choosing which rules to enforce and when to enforce them by the current admin. And no other admins to enforce the rules.

1. Using real life names in world chat and real life information on someone.
2. summoning fireballs at raids to grief people using bows.
3. pulling spawn in top death dungeon at Vrosss or Ty Grimm to grief the raids.
4. summoning fireballs on bomb traps at fervo/parvus dungeon to kill unsuspecting players.
5. accidentally offering escort to weekly dungeon on world chat instead of link chat.
6. intentionally blocking monrick spawn.
7. World chat excessive harassment, with nothing to do with game play or skill. Using real life details of someone.

There are times the stuff above is bannable, and other times its not based on who does it. And the admin will only do something if he sees it personally, someone whos hardly ever on.

Ya'll just cry to ej whenever you do get banned and start making qq admin posts.

Too many people have cheated and exploited bugs to trust to be admins.

In 2.0 the admins link was harassing everyrone who came over from 1.0 to make them quit back to 1.0 and banning them for things like name calling when his link was doing 10x worse.

As for world chat, you can LEAVE bad words set to off if you dont want to see naughty words (by default they are blocked) and you can type -ignore playername to mute a players account.

You can also DM the current admins already in game on discord.


p.s. what would be the rules on ppl who bring 2-3 alt accounts to raid bosses to get an advantage of loot over others?

Definitely need another admin. Xen101 does a fine enough job. He's been playing more in the last week or 2 which is nice, but this is the most I've seen him play in like 5 years.

I don't think we need someone to come in to micromanage the community banning them for any little thing, but just having the threat that someone might be around so maybe I shouldn't write the plan to cheat openly in world chat, scream racial slurs on world chat just to be an a**, or doxing people randomly. I mean pretty basic stuff here that happens pretty frequently just needs to be dealt with.

It may take 6 months to get E.J. on an issue, but then he just wipes and deletes people which is to heavy handed.
It may take weeks to get xen101 on an issue, he gives them a ban and then he's in the wind again which isn't consistent enough.

Basic consistent moderation would be nice.

There's more admins than Xen101. They just dont dox themselves to not be constantly harassed/pked.

EJ: if bad words is default set to OFF, leave it so it cannot be changed.

Let me tell you..

You CANNOT ban for EVERY SINGLE occasion where a rule is broken. The game has to have its battles. It needs its drama. It needs to have its negativity.

I always give the example of police in the highway. The speed limit is 65. You are going 70 and he does not pull you over. Because there is an understanding that you are not going to always behave. That is why Ej doesn’t always take care of the problems that may be going on.


You don’t know what you are wishing for. A new admin (which I agree could be a good thing. MAYBE) could enforce deals where most of you will never be able to log in and play.

Report your issues. Not every admin that can be selected or are already playing, can be on all the time to enforce rules.


Be real careful on what you are asking for

Is there a way to give simple powers? Like being able to mute a player for a day? Something that wouldn't give much "power" but still allow for some regulation of world chat harassments. So not a full admin. But multiple chat monitors.

I had asked Ej for senior and junior admins forever now.

Junior admins would have basic admin powers.

Mute people
Temp bans
Etc

Senior admins would essentially be close to Ej minus the -wipe and freeze

MUCH longer bans
Disable WC temporarily
Instant teleport to player (or -room or something for ejs room)
-invis.
Etc


The only senior admins would have been me and nesb since we done it for at least 8 years now, and I don’t think nesb has logged into Xenimus in quite some time last time I checked her log in.



Trust me. I has voiced something like this to Ej probably like 2 weeks ago, and have for at least 2 years now. I actually still have the email.


Went something like this back in march of last year.

“ Senior Admin:
Longer ban timers
Perma Ban(with a direct way for you to receive this notification)
Temporarily disable WC for the game(limit this to like 5-10 mins max)
Teleport to player
The -invis command you have so we can stalk cheaters
MAYBE a temporary immunity to monsters because some areas that have cheaters , me and Nesb cannot reach.
We just don’t have the items for it.
And anything else you can think of.

Give the Junior admins the current powers admins have. That is more than enough.”

Then you could have admins like on 2.0 where they call you a p***y, p***s p***S all day and the second you say it back you get banned for "Sexual references".

You may not be pulled over for going 5mph over the speed limit, but if you run somebody over while drunk driving you're going to jail. I don't know anyone that is advocating for banning people for every little thing that is slightly in the grey.

Should people be able to blast world chat with the n-word with no fear of consequences. Should someone be able to camp bosses for 6 weeks around the clock before E.J. has to finally step in and warn them over and over again then eventually wipe them because there are no active admins to give them 2 hour time outs every couple days. Should people really be posting peoples facebook pages in world chat, and bashing them/their family ect.
These are pretty cut and dry things that could be solved with the tiniest bit of over sight. The only reason people do this stuff is because there is no consequences ever. E.J. does not moderate the game, and the admins he's appointed, aside from the last 2 weeks, literally do not log into the game for more than an hour every 6 months. Ideally, the admin doesn't need teleport to person location because they can't actually get to places where everyone else in the game is at.

This isn't drama xenimus needs to function. These are hard lines in the sand that have been drawn. It's not simple trash talk, pking, pvping, and in game beefs annoying everyone around them. I don't really care who it is that gets admin power as long as they're active. I don't need them to be a super admin, or to ban people for being annoying. There just needs to be a threat of some kind of present to at least make people TRY to hide their inappropriate behavior so it doesn't spread. I don't need everyone in xenimus acting like Loki.
