I have been adding new ways to get high end gear. Most players probably know about the new ultra items I have added that have a super rare chance to drop and are so powerful your character is only allowed to have one. Any of these items will work for any class and I plan to add more.
I will also be dropping another ultra item because the previous player that got it vendored it. I guess he didn't like the char it was on. So I would like to drop another one on both 1.0 and 2.0. Although 2.0 has not got their first one yet. Probably wait for a 3 day weekend and run an event along with the drops.
Not sure if anyone has discovered it yet, but when you relevel to get a chest pull, sometimes your pull chances are bumped up several levels. This is another thing I added a while back for something to do.
I have been getting some emails about wiping the game items and making them more rare so the progression takes longer. I do get the reasoning for this. Questing and gaining gear is a large part of the fun of any RPG. Every update of WOW ,for example, is basically a gear wipe and people look forward to playing/raiding and the new content.
This is the reason for adding new high end very rare gear. I would rather avoid any kind of wipe, at least for a while.

Those items are NDNT tho
And also why would we need another wipe, what we need is more content and more tiers of gear to chase.
If you wipe it'll be the same in a couple of years and people beg for another wipe. And it never ends and game goes no where.
Adding new high tier gear is step in the right direction, good stuff.

I also disagree with a wipe. There's so many times this games been wiped, and with that, we lose a small percentage of population every time. The people that wants a wipe always plays in the beginning to a point where they would need to invest more time to grind for gear and quit. They then complain to EJ , there's too much gear in game and need another wipe so they can have an equal playing field. which is unfair for all the honest players putting in hours day after day to get where they are.

WoW does essentially wipe the game every major patch. About twice a year with release of each new raid tier, but that is new content driving progress making their older gear obsolete. The new gear changes the way their characters play, new stat break points, new affects, new mechanics, tier set bonuses, and all of that. WoW is a game centered around raid content that is designed to be beaten in a time frame, and everyone gets closer and closer together till everyone is in the same gear at the end of that time frame.
Xenimus is a whole different category. It's a long running grind game. The content doesn't drive the game. The open world aspects, freedom of choice, and the nearly unobtainable nature of the perfect set allows players to create the content that drives the game. We are butting up against the limits of what players are capable of getting/doing currently. The mechanics of characters, content, and everything in the game has remained static for to long allowing people to progress potentially to far.
I don't think a wipe is the key. If you wipe without changing anything people are back to this point even faster than they did the previous two times, and no problems were solved. Just the active players of the game punished for playing, while the inactive players will have a few days of fun being on the same level as their enemies it will quickly fade, and the inactive players will once again be inactive.
Character development, and progress drive RPGs like you mentioned. I think players have just for the most part beaten xenimus. The character development, and progress have halted. More character development, and things to progress have to be added.

How about a new higher end area in the veil ? It would be harder than the current three and drop the same things plus 1 new item specific to that dungeon/fort.
Ideally a higher-end spot in the veil plus another higher-end spot elsewhere is needed.

Just rework most unused low level places make em endgame dungeons similar to DD/Velanthra fort.
Expanding Veil is also a great idea

I don't believe a wipe would solve anything, other then preventing players from becoming active to inactive, and make the inactive to come back for a week or two then going inactive again.
The reason so much gear is in the game right now could be due to an imbalance in classes. The only TWO classes being played by 80% of players is the Warlock and the Warrior.
The other classes need a buff, in multiple ways. The warrior and warlock do NOT need a nerf, they just need to be equal too by other classes.

I agree with the majority a wipe is not the answer....more content/secrets/gear/spells is a way better way to go about it.

Add the ability to disenchant gear into base items (crystals, diamonds, etc). This would help get rid of so much crap in the game, I feel. Then we could use these items to craft other items.
Yes, I am using the term "disenchant" from WoW, but whatever the xen equivalent would be of breaking down gear.
